Golf Package to Ireland

September 14 - 21, 2019

Frequently Asked Questions
  • Are there opportunities for sightseeing?
    • We recognize that you may also wish to sightsee and visit places of interest. We have drawn up this itinerary to accommodate the golf schedule, but would be more than pleased to offer additional advice and assistance on other interests once your tee times are reserved, and we know how much time you have at your disposal. Please note that European Union law imposes rigid driving restrictions on drivers. Normally, this does not present an issue, but if you do plan an activity that might require extensive driving, evening hours and so on, we must be advised in advance.
  • Are caddies available at each course?
    • Prices for caddies range from about $75.00 to $100.00 (including gratuity) but are not included in the trip price. Although caddies are available at most courses, they are not mandatory. Several months in advance of your departure, we will send you a Caddie and Cart Request form, which details caddie and cart availability at each course in your itinerary.
  • Are carts available?
    • Electric carts (“buggies”) are not as common in Ireland and Northern Ireland as in North America. Very few courses have a fleet of carts, while most have only one or two. Typically these carts are only available with a doctor’s note and, in some more restrictive circumstances, with verification of a permanent disability. In some instances, electric carts are completely unavailable regardless of permanent disability.

    • Most courses have pull carts (“trollies”) available for $4.00 to $9.00 per round. Although pull carts cannot be reserved in advance, they are plentiful.

  • Do I need a Handicap for this trip?

    • Many courses have handicap limits and some require a handicap card/certificate. We cannot be responsible for unacceptable credentials. Handicap limits at most courses are 24 for gentlemen and 36 for ladies.

  • Do I need a Passport to travel to Ireland?

    • U.S. citizens do need a Passport to travel to Ireland.  Please note Passport expiration must be at least 6 months beyond your date of return.

  • Do I need Travel Insurance?

    • We highly recommend you purchase Travel insurance for accident, baggage, and trip cancellation protection is recommended. Note that the terms of coverage for a pre-existing medical condition sometimes require that the policy be purchased prior to certain trip payment dates. Most often, we see travel insurance used for reimbursement of expenses related to missed tee times due to a flight delay or cancellation, damage to clubs, rental clubs (if clubs are delayed), and transportation costs incurred to catch-up with the rest of the group if an individual’s flight is delayed. Since most trips are booked far in advance, pre-trip injuries or medical emergencies do result in a number of cancellations each year for which travel insurance offers reimbursement.  Should you decide not to purchase Travel Insurance, you will be required to sign a Waiver stating as such.
