I can't say I just enjoyed Israel, it was life changing. So much so, I can't wait to go again. We sailed on the Sea of Galilee, wandered around Capernaum, and read the Beatitudes on a glorious day. We read scripture on the teaching steps, prayed at the Western Wall and sang in the Church of St. Anne. The Via dela Rosa was beyond compare as the 4 sections of the Old City were observed living in a stressful coexistence. Beautiful plaques mark the route Jesus took as he faced that fateful night. The beauty of the Garden Tomb where a communion service touched us all brought a sense of reverence and peace. The Garden of Gethsemane with its ancient olive trees brought back childhood teaching of Jesus praying and the Disciples sleeping.
